Ohana’s prayer requests…

This is an opportunity for us to communicate prayer needs and praise reports. Everyone needs prayer and now your friends and family are able to connect with a prayer team 24 hours a day.

This is how it will work….

1) You leave as much or as little information in regards to your prayer request as a comment. You can also request a phone call or e-mail for confidential situations.

2) A member will reply to confirm that the prayer request was e-mailed to our prayer team. Also contact anyone that requested e-mail or phone follow up.

3) Continue to pray for your request personally. Remembering that you have a part to play and that you are most knowledgable and updated on the specific requests. Also continue to monitor your request as we will for possible encouragement / prayers that you can pray.

4) Reply to your Original prayer request with a  PRAISE REPORT! This is your opportunity to witness to HIS Faithfulness, Love , Mercy and Grace. To God be all the Glory!

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.  James 5:16

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him. 1John 5:14-15

    Stanley Gross

This is my attorney’s Father that is 85 years old and is in the hospital recovering. He has had some extensive surgeries and we are praying that he is on the road to recovery. Please also pray for his salvation, because I don’t know if he is a believer or not. Also pray for his son Dimitri as well.

  2. Lori Letcher says:

    Mike,
I will share with the prayer team.

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up Stanley Gross to You. We ask that he is a believer and that he has his salvation. We ask that Your will be done for Stanley’s life. Even though he is an elderly man Lord, we pray for complete recovery on his body and that his family and friends will see Your work done through him. We ask You to see that when his time does come to leave this world,he leaves a message behind of Your Love, and a love for his family and friends.
God Bless Stanley, his family and Mike Armendariz for sharing the need of Prayer.

    Amen

An update on Stanley… He is being treated and is doing very well in recovery. He still has a long road ahead of him and we will continue to keep him in our prayers.

  3. Lori Letcher says:

Know that we are lifting up Dimitri as well.

    God Bless,

  5. Chrissy says:

I know this isnt a prayer request, but I ran across this quote regarding prayer and thought it was too good to keep to myself. Its written by Henri Nouwen, a man who wrote with great vulnerability and insight.

“The invitation to a life of prayer is the invitation to live in the midst of this world without being caught in the net of its wounds and needs. The word ‘prayer’ stands for a radical interruption to the vicious chain of interlocking dependencies that lead to violence and war, and for an entering into an entirely new dwelling place.”

This new dwelling place is the place where we allow God to be the creator, to create a new life in us as a new creation, and to make beauty from ashes.

    Thanks for all the prayers!

  6. Prayer Team says:

Chrissy, thank you for the quote, The new dwelling place is my favorite, I love that place, I seem to get there more when I am in prayer alone. Something I must open up to more when praying with others.

    God Bless you and Andrew
    Love and miss you guys…

  10. Prayer Team says:

Hi Anna, I am so sorry I have not been on the site for a while.
Father in heaven we lift up Alicia Pena. My Father she has always kept the faith and stayed strong through her life of un-healthiness. It is time now Lord to heal her body once and for all. We know good can and will come from bad situations, however, this woman Alicia has had the faith, young children and a family who loves her very much. Please Lord, let her body be healed now of cancer, kidney failure and lupus. Lord allow Alicia to keep her kidney and massage it Lord till it starts doing it’s job on it’s own. Release her body of any cancerous cells, do not allow her body to create anymore cancer cells ever and take the lupus out completely. Lord her family is in need of her being here with them, especially her two daughters. Let this be a time for Gods miracle to happen and let only You get the glory for the healing. Let this miracle bring others closer to You Lord. We ask again Lord to keep Alicia from suffering with bad health, but to allow her to stay in life as we know it with her family and with Good Health.

    Thank you,
    In Jesus name we pray,

    Amen

  15. Anna H. says:

I have another rather urgent prayer request. This is for my 20 yr. old daughter Jasmine. The other night she woke me at 3am crying and frightened like I’ve never seen her before. She told me she felt “something” grabbing her leg and as she was telling her boyfriend what she was feeling, she felt the grip get tighter. Once in my room she sat on my bed and I began to pray, silently at first, and as I was praying, Jazzy stopped me and told me she felt a “presence” right near her. That spooked me because she was now in my room and I was sitting right in front of her and I felt nothing! A week or so before this, she said she felt herself smiling but SHE wasn’t smiling. She talked herself out of whatever was trying to control her facial muscles and began to pray. Sadly this is not the first time this type of thing has happened to her. In 2005 she had a similar thing happen only she didn’t feel anything, she heard an evil voice whispering near her ear. Our dog even began to growl as if knowing something was there. My daughter is so scared that something is following her. So much so, that she cannot sleep. Sleeping aids do not help either. Jazzy has been trying to build a better relationship with God and I believe this is why she is being attacked. I ask that you please pray for her so that whatever it is that’s bothering her leaves her forever and that she is filled with peace. Pray that she is given the knowledge and strength to fight against any enemy that tries to come between her and our Lord and savior.

    God Bless

  16. Luz (lucy) Casillas says:

My prayers are with her and always will all of you of course. The enemy is strong but only if you give him that power. God is the ONLY ONE THAT HAS THE POWER TO REMOVE THE ENEMY FROM WHERE HE IS NOT WELCOMED!

  17. Tanya Wagner says:

The power of prayer will scare it off. We had a similar occurance in our home last March with my daughter Amber. Apparently someone had put some type of curse on her. The reason we were able to determine this was because I have a friend who is a medium. This person picked up on this just by feeling my anxiety. She was able to give us alot of insight and assured us this would go away, but we must continue to ask for God’s help.

  18. Lori says:

Anna, I would seek a Pastor before you do anyting other than prayer.Every beliver has the authority in Jesus name to cast out demons. You may address the the presence directly by saying in Jesus name I cast you out away from your daughter and or home, example. Be sure to pray before and ask God to help you. Ask God to replace the presence(what just left your daughter or home) with the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. If your daughter is willing, have the two of you read up in your bible and pray together before. Praying together, two or more in prayer is more powerfull. Some references; Acts 16:18, Mark 16:17, Matthew 17: 19-20, Mark 13:34 (explains how you have authority). I am sure there are more. But, be sure to ask for something good(the Holy Spirit)to replace the bad spirit. You do not want it back.

If you want to e-mail me directly sletcher@socal.rr.com
